Santa Parade - Sat December 1st

Cub Scouts! I hope you all had a wonderful filling Thanksgiving! Here is the info for Saturday's (12/01) Santa Parade. We are #51 in the line up. We will assemble ON 1st. Ave. So. BETWEEN 7th and 8th Street. The Parade starts @ 10 am. The truck has to be there @ 8:30 so Mr. Holcomb will be there decorating at that time (and welcome some help). You will have to find parking in the area and walk to the assembly area. The earlier, the easier. Be aware: You can't drive on many of the surroundig streets. The parade route is east on Central Avenue to Bayshore, north on Bayshore, ending at the North Shore Pool complex. Snow Fest will be happening in Straub Park after the parade. We need people to park at the end of the parade to provide shuttle back to our cars. Call or email me so arrangements can be made ahead of time.

Parents: if you are not participating, please make arrangements for another adult to supervise your child as well as how they will be retrieved at the end of the parade. You must provide this info and a phone # before you leave your child.

Other info:

We have some candy to hand out. (Cannot throw it).

Cub Scouts MUST be in Class "A" uniform to receive a patch.

Siblings welcome in X-mas attire or pack shirt.

Don't forget to sign in.

NO BICYCLES! Wagons and strollers permitted.

Also: we need older scouts (Bears & Webelos) to carry the banner. Please email me if you are willing.

Saturday Events

Hello Cub Scouts!

This is just a reminder about this Saturday's events, 11/10. In the morning we have Bags In, collection of food donations, starting around 9am. We will split into groups and get an assigned area to pick up the bags. Again, we need drivers.

Then, Saturday evening, the Boy Scouts have invited us to their Cracker Barrel. This is a flag retirement ceremony / campfire. This should begin when it gets dark (but the Boy Scouts are known for being late, I'd say 6:30-7 ish). To thank us for helping with the Pumpkin Patch the Church is providing pizza and we will also have s'mores! Bring your own chairs. Come enjoy the campfire and fellowship with other scouts and families! All are welcome! Should be perfect weather for a fire.

Please join us in one or both activities. See you there, and don't forget to sign in!
